It’s difficult enough to deal with difficult behavior in our children, but when that child is disrespecting us it can feel like a personal attack.
As parents, we want to do everything we can to help our kids change their ways and become respectful members of society. In this article, we will provide you with prayers for a disrespectful daughter that will hopefully help her turn her behavior around.
This article is divided into two types of prayers – ones where your daughter is being disrespectful to you, and ones where she is being disrespectful to the Lord, and for you to ask Him to forgive her behavior.
Prayers for When Your Daughter is Disrespectful to You
Prayer 1
Dear Father,
I am so hurt and disappointed when my daughter is disrespectful to me. I know that she is capable of better behavior, and I pray that you will help her to see the error of her ways.
Give me the strength to deal with her in a way that is constructive and loving, rather than reactive and angry. Help me to be the parent she needs, even when she is acting out in this difficult way. Amen.
Prayer 2
Holy Father,
I know that my daughter is made in Your image, and I pray that she will start to act in a way that reflects that. I pray that she will show respect to those around her, especially to those in authority.
I ask for Your forgiveness on her behalf, and for the strength to help her change her ways. Amen.

Lord,
I am so frustrated with my daughter’s disrespectful behavior. I know that it is a phase that many kids go through, but it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.
Please give me the patience and wisdom to handle this situation in the best way possible. Help my daughter to see the error of her ways and to start acting in a more respectful manner. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Prayers for When Your Daughter is Disrespectful to God
Prayer 1
Dear Heavenly Father,
My daughter has been disrespectful to You, and I know that it grieves Your heart. I ask that You would forgive her for her sin, and help her to turn from her rebellious ways.
I pray that she would come to know You as her personal Lord and Savior, and that she would grow in her relationship with You. I ask that You would use this situation to draw her closer to You, instead of pushing her away.

Prayer 2
Dear Father in Heaven, please forgive my daughter for her disrespect toward You. Please help her to see that she must respect You above all else.
Help her to understand that she cannot be disrespectful toward anyone because she will be held accountable for her actions.
Please guide her heart and mind to know what is right and wrong. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Prayer 3
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I ask that You would have mercy on my daughter and forgive her for her sin of disrespecting You.
