It doesn’t have to be Father’s Day for daughters to show our dads how much we love and appreciate them.
Many daughters look for ways to show their dads how much they appreciate him. And what better than a prayer? Here are 12 prayers from daughters all around the world that will show dad (and God) how much he means to you.
I’ve included a couple for adoptive fathers and stepfathers too because they are just as deserving of our love and appreciation.
There are also a couple of prayers at the end for those daughters whose fathers have passed away, in the hope that God will give them peace and comfort.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for my daddy. I love him so much and I cherish him more than words could ever say. I pray that you would continue to bless him and keep him safe in the palm of your hand. Amen.

Dear Lord, thank you for my father. He is such a special man and I am so grateful for him. I pray that you would bless him abundantly and give him strength, wisdom, and joy. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven,
thank you for giving me such a wonderful father. He is the best Dad ever! I know that I will never meet another like him. He taught me about honesty, integrity, kindness, generosity, humility, patience, forgiveness, faithfulness, loyalty and love.
He showed me what it means to be a good person. He also taught me about being a Christian. He gave me a strong foundation on which to build my own relationship with you. I want to share these lessons with others. Please help me to continue to show people the way of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear Father in Heaven,
thank you for giving me a father who loves me and cares about me. Thank you for providing him with a wife who loves him as much as I do. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of their lives.
Thank you for making them both healthy and happy. Thank you for helping them to find jobs they enjoy. And most of all, thank you for watching over them and keeping them safe. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord, I pray for my father who is no longer with us. I know that You are the God of all comfort and I pray that You would give me Your peace in the midst of my pain. I miss him so much and there is such a deep hole in my heart.
I know that You loved him even more than I did and that he is now at peace in Your presence. I pray that You would give me strength to get through each day. I know it will be hard, but I trust that You will be with me every step of the way.
